Cómo cancelar SimplePractice

Canceling SimplePractice can be done through your account settings online. The process takes about 5 minutes. SimplePractice does not require you to call support to cancel — you can handle it entirely from the billing page. Your data remains accessible until the end of your billing period, but clinical notes and documentation should be exported before canceling.

Click 'Cancel Subscription'

In the billing section, click 'Cancel Subscription' or 'Cancel Plan.' SimplePractice will show what features you'll lose and may offer a retention discount or plan downgrade.

Complete the cancellation survey

SimplePractice may ask why you're leaving. Complete the optional survey and confirm your cancellation. Review the final billing date carefully.

Save your cancellation confirmation

Check your email for a cancellation confirmation from SimplePractice. Screenshot the confirmation page and save the email as proof of cancellation.

Can't find the cancel button

The cancel option is under Settings > Billing (or My Account > Subscription). Look for 'Cancel Subscription' or 'Cancel Plan' at the bottom of the billing page.

Worried about losing clinical notes

Export all clinical documentation before canceling. Once your account is deactivated, SOAP notes, treatment plans, and client records are no longer accessible. Download or print everything you need first.

Need to keep records for compliance

Most licensing boards require therapists to retain client records for 7+ years. Export and securely store all clinical documentation before canceling. Consider keeping a SimplePractice subscription active on the Starter plan ($29/mo) if the data volume is large.

Clients still have upcoming appointments

Complete or reschedule all upcoming appointments before your cancellation takes effect. Notify clients of your new booking method and share your updated booking link.
