Payment Collection Questions

Can I collect deposits at the time of booking?

Yes. SchedulingKit lets you require a flat-rate or percentage-based deposit when a client books. The deposit is charged immediately and the remaining balance can be collected at the appointment or beforehand.

What payment methods are supported?

We support all major credit and debit cards through Stripe — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also available for faster mobile checkout.

Is there a transaction fee?

SchedulingKit does not charge a platform fee on payments. You only pay standard Stripe processing fees (2.9% + 30¢ per transaction in the US). There are no hidden markups.

Can I set different payment rules per service?

Absolutely. Require full prepayment for high-value services, a percentage deposit for others, and no payment for free consultations — all configurable per service.

How do refunds and cancellations work?

You define your cancellation policy. Refund deposits automatically for early cancellations, keep them for late cancellations, or issue credits — all from your dashboard.

Do clients need to create an account to pay?

No. Clients enter their card details during the booking flow and check out as guests. Returning clients can save their card for faster future bookings.
