How to Cancel Your Scheduling Tool
Step-by-step guides to cancel your current scheduling software. Each guide covers exporting your data, cancelling the paid subscription, and what happens to your account afterward. Cancelling a subscription usually stops billing but keeps your account and data; deleting the account is a separate step that removes them. Vendor menus and policies change, so confirm the details in the vendor's own help center.
A Safe Way to Leave Any Scheduling Tool
Example: a salon moving off its old booking tool at the end of the month.
- 1Export first
Download client lists, upcoming appointments and payment history while your account is still active. Some tools only allow exports on paid plans.
- 2Move upcoming bookings
Recreate future appointments in your new system, or keep the old one running until they're done, so no client is left without a booking.
- 3Cancel the subscription
Turn off auto-renewal or cancel the plan in the vendor's billing settings, and note the date access ends. This usually stops billing but keeps your data.
- 4Decide about deletion
If you want your data removed, request account or data deletion separately, after you've confirmed your exports are complete. Deletion usually can't be undone.
